President Biden has responded to a unique request from the Trump campaign for military-grade security measures, including aircraft capable of shooting down missiles, in the final weeks before the November 5 election.
The Secret Service is responsible for providing protection for major presidential and vice-presidential candidates,.
“I’ve told the department to give him every single thing he needs — as he were a sitting president,” Biden said. “If it fits within that category, that’s fine. But if it doesn’t, he shouldn’t.”
As for whether Trump would be entitled to the requested military aircraft, Biden jokingly responded, “As long as he doesn’t ask for F-15s.”

The requests were detailed in a letter — first obtained by the Associated Press — from senior campaign manager Susie Wiles to Secret Service director Ronald Rowe Jr., amid concerns for Trump’s safety after two assassination attempts and reported threats of violence from Iran.
