The ‘Adoration’ event was held for the 100th Anniversary of the March First Independence Movement at Rodeo-Town Street, Doonsan-Dong
[Daily Cheonji Daejeon branch = Reporter Ji-hyeon Kim] Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairperson: Mr. Man Hee Lee) Daejeon branch (Branch Manager: Jangsik, Bahng) hosted an ‘Adoration’ event for the 100th Anniversary of the March First Independence Movement.
The ‘Adoration’ event was heldin Rodeo-Town Street, Doonsan-Dong, Seo-Guas a ‘confession of gratitude to freedom fighters’, commemorating those freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to restore the country occupiedby the Japanese.
In particular, the event revealed the unsung freedom fighters of the Daejeon-Chungcheong area as participants wrote letters of gratitude. Written letters will be delivered to the families of these freedom fighters.
A citizen from Tanbang-Dong said,“When we think of freedom fighters, we usually think of the well-known ones such as Joong-geunAhn or Gwan-soon Yu. However, the fact that so many people fought for our country astonished me. The March First Independence Movement celebrates its 100th anniversary. We can now live in this country without worry because these freedom fighters fought for us.”
A Shincheonji Church of Jesus Daejeon branch official said,“There are more freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our country than we are usually told. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the March First Independence Movement, so it would be good to devote a time of silent prayer for them with a heart of gratitude.”
