[Cheonji-Ilbo: Reporters = Lee Som] An American national serving as the first-ever female vice president of Cao Dai International, a religion founded in Vietnam, sent an open letter stating that the world and the press need to know the facts about HWPL and Chairman Lee Man-hee.

She also strongly urged Christians to stop blaming Chairman and Shincheonji Church for the spread of COVID-19, which she believes to be a baseless and shameful charge.

In a letter titled, “A Letter to the Press,” Tuy Ngoc Nguyen said, “The world peace event on September 17, 2014, organized by HWPL, changed my life,” and, “since that day, I started to believe the possibility of world peace, and promote myself to become a peace messenger.” This open letter was sent to NewsCJ on the 29th,

She also stressed, “Chairman Lee Man-hee is the true ambassador of peace,” and, “the world needs to know this, the press needs to know this, believe it or not, the fact is HWPL and Chairman Man Hee Lee have created a ‘Culture of Peace’ movement.”

She called on those who are charging Chairman Lee Man-hee for murder and to be held responsible for the spread of COVID-19 in Korea by saying, “Stop this nonsense… and baseless blame.”

She continued, “Shincheonji is not in the mainstream Christianity, so it is like [one of the] 32,000 other denominations of Christian traditions around the world.” She also asked, “Can the mainstream Christians destroy all [other] denominations,” as she criticized the Christians who are persecuting Shincheonji and are going against Jesus’ teaching to “love your enemies and neighbors.”

She also asked, “People opened churches against the recommendations of the CDC, butwas there any single person in the U.S. being prosecuted/blamed for intentionally spreading the virus with the purpose to kill other people?”

She continued by asking again, “Covid-19 has never happened before, [and] like it or not, different people deal with it differently, [and] mistakes have been made even at the highest offices in many countries that affected millions of people. Is there any single leader of any organizations in the world being blamed for intentionally spreading the virus to kill people?

Tuy Nguyen reiterated the absurdity of blaming Shincheonji Church and Chairman Lee Man-hee, the ambassador of peace, for the spread of COVID-19 and added, “I call for all decent Christians inside S. Korea and around the world to raise your voice to stop this nonsense.”

The following is the entire letter of Tuy Nguyen:

Letter to the press,

I want you to know how the World Peace event on September 17th, 2014 at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul City, South Korea, organized by HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Lights – a Christian-based Peace Organization), changed my life. Since that day, I started to believe the possibility of World Peace and promote myself to become a Peace Messenger in every angle of my life. I started to create Peace dialogs within my inner self, create a peace culture in my family, my community, my workplace and wherever I went whoever I spent time with and whenever appropriated I promoted the Peace Culture… because HWPL has shown me that World Peace is possible, is the future, is the leading cause that younger generations will follow, put their energy into, and determine to create a culture of peace. HWPL, Chairman Man Hee Lee and the 100 thousands Peace Messengers at the event, inspired me to the core and I believe they inspired million others around the world. They brought people from different religious traditions, politicians, world leaders around the world together for discussions of Peace dialogs. Since then I managed to attend HWPL events as much as I could and determined to be a part of that culture, part of the Peace Movement, and I referred all of them who worked for peace, who advocated for Peace the Peace Messengers of the 21st century, and I knew millions of people around the world would refer them similar as HWPL have earned that title, and Chairman, Man Hee Lee, is the true Ambassador of Peace.

I attended HWPL Peace Summit in S. Korea in 2014, 2016, and in U.S in 2018, 2019, and I signed the Peace Agreements at those events. I also signed it in my heart and in my soul as I saw hundreds of young adults working relentlessly, patiently, resiliently, and happily with an open heart and an open-mind, with pure compassion. And they did that with the will to learn, the will to collaborate, coordinate, socialize with everybody who crossed their paths for one purpose – World Peace. They truly created a Peace Culture, and all of them pointed to the work of one true Ambassador of Peace – Chairman Man Hee Lee.

I never knew or heard a man in his 80s from an Asian country has the ability to inspire so many young adults around the world (from the Far East to the Far West), from all walks of life, from diverse ethnicities, from different religious traditions, came to a religious event as World Alliance of Religions, wanted to be part of the Peace Culture, wanted to part of the Peace movement, wanted to be part of the alliance of religions, together, wanted to advocate for the Culture of Peace. And they do that with the willing to learn the scriptures of different religious traditions.

As we all know, most young adults normally do not want to be involved in any business related to politics, United Nations, religions, not even with their own religious traditions, let alone religious events organized by other religion, but at HWPL events, I witnessed a phenomenon, the youths shouted out, loud and clear, they demanded Peace, determined to be the leaders of Peace, and will take actions to build World Peace and build the Culture of Respect between Religions. The world needs to know this, the press needs to know this, believe it or not, the fact is HWPL and Chairman Man Hee Lee has created a “Culture of Peace” movement…

A “Movement of Peace”, isn’t that a beautiful thing to do, isn’t that what the world needs, isn’t that what every single human needs, isn’t that what we want for our children, that instead of them spending time and energy for wars, they should spend time and energy to learn, to advance, to create something more effective, efficient for life, and if there are needs for debates, for resolution to conflicts, they, the future generations, will debate and resolve conflicts in the Culture of Peace, in civilized manners, in peaceful demonstrations, in respected dialogs, in compassion and understanding that people can be different, that people may have beliefs in different imageries of God that may be dear and familiar to them or may go to different paths to reach destinations. However, at the end of the day, in the great scheme of life, WE ARE ONE? under the microscope of science, WE ARE 99% GENETICALLY SIMINAR IN DNA, and under GOD, WE, ALL, ARE HIS CHILDREN (bad children or good children, who can determine that). And Chairman Man Hee Lee conveys that. And that is why he is able to inspire 100 thousand or millions of Youths around the world to build that culture.

Covid-19 is a global crisis. It affects every single one of us and all religions. It may be a way the Mother Earth is telling us that She needs a break, everybody needs to take a step back and reflect life…and we are all together in this fighting against the invisible enemy. Why don’t all of us put our energy into that battle as that is our true enemy and stop shifting ridiculous blame on each other. I heard Chairman Man Hee Lee and his Church was prosecuted as murders, was blamed for being negligent, intentionally spreading the virus to kill others mainstream Korean Christians who opposed him on their religious practices. Any decent Christian will see how hideous it is, how baseless the blame is, how shameful it is, as he and his Church are also followers of Christ and their members are also the victims of corona virus. And yes, his church is not in the mainstream Christianity and so it is like more than 32,000 other denominations of Christianity traditions around the world. Can the mainstream Christians destroy all the denominations? Is that what Jesus Christ wants you to do? Of does He teach you Love, Compassion - compassionate even with your enemy - Love Your Neighbors, in which in this case is not any neighbor, it is a Korean Christian neighbor to Korean mainstream Christians. Can a decent Christian do that to fellow Christians? …. I have very high respect to Christians and I don’t believe a true Christian can do that to their fellow Christians even though who are in different Christian denominations.

Covid-19 stopped all religious activities, all crowed gatherings, and any intent to defy it ended up with grievances. The United States is now an EPIDEMIC center of the world with more than 2.5 million cases and more than 125 thousands death because, people protested, people didn’t wear masks, people opened Churches against recommendations from the CDC (Centers of Disease Control and Prevention), etc. however, was there any single person in the U.S being prosecuted/blamed for intentionally spreading the virus with the purpose to kill other people? Covid-19 has never happened before, like it or not, different people deal with it differently, mistakes have been made even at the highest offices in many countries that affected millions of people. Is there any single leader of any organizations in the world being blamed for intentionally spreading the virus to kill people?

You may see my points on how ridiculous that somebody in S. Korea blamed Chairman Man Hee Lee, the Ambassador of Peace, and his Church for the intention of spreading the virus to kill other people or mainstream Christians? I call for the people who do that, PLEASE STOP IT! You are a much better human being, a much better Christian, you are who holds high standards of morality, who wants to be a Christ-like human being, I know you are better than this. I call for all decent Christians inside S. Korea and around the world to raise your voice to stop this nonsense and let them know that whoever did this, whoever blamed Chairman Man Hee Lee and his Church for intentionally killing people and prosecuted them in court for a baseless blame, that they do not represent Christian values, that they do not represent respected S. Korean beautiful traditions and cultures.
