[Daily Cheonji=Reporter Sookyung Kang] Shincheonji volunteer group Cheonan branch (Branch manager: Mr. Minho Noh) carried out ‘Protect the Green Nature’ event on last 30th to greet Lunar New Year’s Day. 80 volunteers cleaned up around 10km of Seobukgu, Cheonan station.
A citizen who witnessed volunteer activity of the group on a street said “The vicinity of Cheonan station and Seongjung elementary school was so stinky because of litter and trashes made by many people. Lunar New Year’s Day is coming up, and cleaning-up the area where even cleaners couldn’t think of cleaning brightened this area. I thank Shincheonji volunteer group for purification.”
Mr. Jinsu Lee who have participated the cleaning-up to greet this Lunar New Year’s Day said “It makes me so proud that I cleaned up and taking care of the area where I live. I felt so grateful that many citizens on a street cheered us up by waving their hands.”
The persons concerned of the group said “It is great that we can help local residents to greet Lunar New Year’s Day. We will actively join other various volunteering activity in this area.”
Shincheonji volunteer group Cheonan branch carries out warm volunteering activity and cultural campaign to love its region with monthly initiatives such as ‘Beautiful senior, Bravo life!’ for healthy silver-society of elderly people, ‘Door2(to)Door Healthcare’ which is medical volunteer activity to spread love, ‘The Pink Cloth Delivering warmth’ to deliver free lunch box to the marginalized class of the area.
